The Temple

West Wycombe Park resides near the village of West Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, England and was built between 1740 and 1800. It was conceived as a pleasure palace for the 18th century libertine and dilettante Sir Francis Dashwood, 2nd Baronet. The mansion is set within an 18th century landscaped park, containing many small temples and follies which act as satellites to the greater temple, the house.

The Temple of Music is on an island in the lake, inspired by the Temple of Vesta in Rome. It was designed for Dashwood's fĂȘtes champĂȘtres, with the temple used as a theatre; the remains of the stage survive. Its boastful yellow colour and immaculate acoustics make it the perfect romantic setting for any wedding, or corporate event. The greater park comes alive throughout the year through to its wonderful gardens; they are the perfect place to entertain guests with walks, forages or simply a cocktail on the grassy bank.
